Bir gün iki çocuklu bir aile gezintiye çıkarlar. Çocuklardan biri yorulur ve babasının kendisini kucağına almasını ister.
Baba da yorgun olduğunu söyler. Çocuk ağlamaya başlar.
Baba bir tek kelime söylemeden ağaçtan bir dal keser, dalı bıçakla düzeltir ve oğluna verir.
"Al oğlum sana güzel bir at" der. Çocuk sevinçle ata biner ve sıçrayarak, ata vurarak evin yolunu tutar.
Baba gülerek kızına "İşte hayat budur kızım. Bazen zihnen veya bedenen kendini çok yorgun hissedeceksin.
İşte o zaman kendine değnekten bir at bul ve neş'e ile yoluna devam et.
Bu at bir arkadaş, bir şarkı, bir şiir, bir çiçek, bir çocuğun tebessümü olabilir."
Etrafa bakıp da böyle bir atı arayan herkes bulabilir.
Şunu daima hatırlayınız ki, hayatın ne kadar zor olduğunu düşünürseniz,hayat bir o kadar imkansızlaşır.
